ECODIT was a subcontractor on the USAID Jordan Institutional Strengthening and Support Project (ISSP). Through this project, ECODIT worked closely with institutional counterparts of the water sector in Jordan to build their capacity to manage Jordan's water infrastructure and resources effectively by providing technical assistance in organizational development, change management, and strategic communications. Activities included working with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI), the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) and the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) to improve operational efficiency and better plan for future water supply and wastewater service needs,working with water utilities (e.g., Miyahuna, Aqaba Water Co.) to support service improvements, asset management and business planning processes, and more efficient and effective utility management,building the capacity of relevant government departments and water utilities in communication, GIS, and data collection,and strengthening water user associations.
