ECODIT Liban conducted an Environmental Assessment of the Zehlan project in Dannieh (North Lebanon). The project consists of the Zehlan cave, a restaurant, and several services surrounding the cave including a monorail train and a rope bridge. ECODIT Liban assessed the existing and potential environmental risks associated with the project units including water pollution, loss of biodiversity, waste dispersion, cave damage, soil contamination, etc., and proposed environmental guidelines to mitigate and monitor potential impacts during construction and operation phases. The assessment was approved by the Ministry of Environment.
